The moment of change
is the only poem.
My name is Cressida Forester, Psy. D. I'm a Licensed Psychologist. For over 30 years I've been helping people to find their way through hard times and feelings, so that they can have richer, warmer lives with more satisfying relationships.
I meet with adults and elders, providing individual and couples psychotherapy and consultation. I have years of experience working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. My treatment approach is relational depth psychotherapy with attention to the wisdom of the body. I welcome and respect diversity of all kinds.
I also provide clinical consultation and supervision (individually and in groups) for psychotherapists.
Whether you're looking for a therapist for right now, wondering if psychotherapy could help you, or just curious about what psychotherapy is and how psychotherapy works, take your time to look over these pages.
Free initial phone consultation:
Figuring our whether you are ready for therapy, or whether a therapist is a good match for you can be hard, so I will give you a free initial phone consultation of up to 30 minutes.
How I work
My manner is warm, thoughtful, and down-to-earth. My approach is collaborative, flexible and straightforward. You may need time to feel safe, and want questions answered. I'm comfortable letting you know what I think, and discussing things with you. I'm equally comfortable sitting quietly with you while you feel your way.
